Privacy policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect through aetherworks.ai, why, and what rights you have. It is written under Articles 13 and 14 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”).
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Alberto Fiora, an independent consultant who offers these services under the name Aether. Aether is a brand, not a company.
- VAT number (P.IVA): 13275180019
- Email: info@aetherworks.ai
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as the GDPR does not require one for a business of our size and activity.
What we collect and why
When you send a request through the form
We collect the details you enter: full name, work email, company, phone (if given), number of employees, annual revenue, what you are interested in, how you heard about us (if given) and your message (if given).
We use them only to read your request, reply by email, arrange a first conversation and prepare for it.
The legal basis is steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). The fields marked as required are needed to reply to you. If you leave them empty we can’t process the request.
When you browse the site
Our hosting provider processes technical data that every website receives, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. It is used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and is not used to profile you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies and similar technologies
Necessary, no consent needed. We save your cookie choice in your browser (local storage, key aether-consent) so we don’t ask again on every page. It is kept for 6 months.
Statistics, only with your consent. If you click “Accept”, we load:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited): counts visits and shows how the pages are used. Cookies
_gaand_ga_*, kept for up to 2 years. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. - Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation): shows how visitors scroll and click, so we can improve the page. What you type in the form is masked. Cookies
_clck(1 year) and_clsk(1 day).
Both are loaded through Google Tag Manager, and only after you accept. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you reject or close the banner, none of them load. We don’t use cookies for advertising. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Who receives your data
We don’t sell your data or share it for marketing. It is handled by these providers, acting on our behalf as data processors:
- Formspree, Inc. (United States): receives the form and forwards it to us by email.
- Google (Google Workspace): our email, where the requests arrive and where we reply.
- Cloudflare, Inc.: hosts the website and protects it from attacks.
- Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager) and Microsoft (Clarity): only if you accept statistics cookies.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. In that case the transfer relies on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long we keep it
Statistics cookies are kept for the times listed in the cookie section above. We keep form requests for up to 12 months after our last contact with you. If we start working together, the data becomes part of the contract and our accounting records and is kept for as long as the law requires (in Italy, generally 10 years for accounting documents). Technical logs are kept by the hosting provider for a short period and then deleted.
Your rights
At any time you can ask us to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- correct it or complete it
- delete it
- restrict how we use it
- receive it in a portable format
- stop using it, where we rely on our legitimate interest
- withdraw your consent to statistics cookies, with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page
To use any of these rights, write to info@aetherworks.ai. We reply within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
Changes
We may update this policy, for example when we add a new service or tool. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
